Living Treasures is a work of celebration. Long before the infamous Top 100 South Africans, the HSRC's Social Cohesion and Integration research Programme was collating information on those South Africans who are truly great in the fields of art, culture, sports and science. At present, the list stretches to over 30 people, all of whom have been interviewed and photographed.
